Team USA overcame a 16-point deficit to beat South Sudan 101-100 on Monday, remaining unbeaten in exhibition play this summer. LeBron James hit the game-winning shot with eight seconds remaining, giving Team USA the victory.

Team USA struggled early on, falling behind by as many as 16 points in the second quarter. However, the Americans stormed back with a massive third quarter, outscoring South Sudan 35-18 to take a narrow lead heading into the fourth.

In the fourth quarter, Team USA held on to its lead, but South Sudan never went away. The South Sudanese team hit a three-pointer with just seconds remaining to tie the game at 100-100, but James was able to drive to the basket and hit the game-winning shot.

James finished the game with a team-high 22 points, while Anthony Davis added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Deng Adel led South Sudan with 28 points, while Thon Maker added 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Team USA will now travel to Australia for two more exhibition games before heading to the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
